The delegates of UK, France and Brazil stressed on the different effects of carbon and their negative consequences, while further discussing the prioritization of gases in terms of taxation. The committee was also seen engaging in discussions regarding waste management and conversion of energy. Focusing on developing countries, UNEP also debated on the ethicality of carbon taxation in such nations as well its effectiveness and consequences. The delegate of South Korea suggested that if the carbon emission mark is exceeded by a nation, they must be fined. Other countries discussed the provision of tax relief to environmentally-friendly factories, capturing and storing carbon and the proper pricing of carbon taxation according to the production of carbon dioxide.
